- BioMed Central (BMC) - BMC is part of Springer Nature. It has a portofolio of high quality peer-reviewed journals including broad interest titles such as BMC Biology and BMC Medicine, specialist journals such as Malaria Journal and Microbiome, and the BMC series. - DOAJ - Directory of Open Access Journals. Provides a service that is compiling a verified, searchable, index of OA journals.
- E-LIS - E-prints in Library & Information Sciences - e-LIS is an international digital repository for Library and Information Science (LIS), including Communication. Because librarians are so involved in open access advocacy, e-LIS is a key to encourage open access for all repositories, by giving librarians the experience they need to speak with confidence when talking with researchers and open access archives, and the experience to provide the best possible assistance to self-archiving faculty.

- PASTEUR4OA - (Open Access Policy Alignment Strategies for European Union Research) was a FP7 project, aiming to promote the implementation of OA. The project provides toolkits for Research Performing Organizations and Research Funders as well as other documentation regarding the implementation of OA.
- Peer J – The Journal of Life and Environmental Sciences is a peer-reviewed and OA journal publishing primary research and reviews in biology, life sciences, environmental sciences, and medicine.
- PLOS – Public Library of Science. PLOS publications covers the areas of biology, computational biology, genetics, medicine, pathogens, and Neglected tropical diseases. It allows authors to share preprints of their articles.
- PLOS ONE - is the first multidisciplinary OA journal covering areas from the natural sciences, medical research, engineering, as well as the related social sciences and humanities.

- ROAR - Registry of Open Access Repositories. ROAR is a searchable, international Registry of Open Access Repositories indexing the creation, location and growth of open access institutional repositories and their contents. It aims to promote the development of open access by providing timely information about the growth and status of repositories throughout the world.
- ROARMAP - Registry of Open Access Repository Mandates and Policies. ROARMAP is a searchable international registry charting the growth of open access mandates and policies adopted by universities, research institutions and research funders. Such policies request or require that researchers provide open access to their peer-reviewed research article by depositing it in an open access repository.
- SciELO - Scientific Electronic Library Online covering a selected collection of Brazilian scientific journals and other Latin America countries (among others). SciELO interface provides access to its serials collection via an alphabetic list of titles or a subject list or a search form by word of serial titles, publisher names, city of publication and subject.
