A call is open for the allocation of 1 (one) research fellowship for PhD students or masters enrolled in a non-academic degree course (BI), within the Research Project UIDB/00709/2020 - Health Sciences Research Centre (CICS-UBI), funded Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, taking place at the Health Sciences Research Centre (CICS-UBI) of the University of Beira Interior (http://www.cics.ubi.pt/), under the following conditions:
Research Field: Biological Sciences
Objetives: The main activities will be related to Science Management and Communication at CICS-UBI
Work plan:
- Support the preparation and submission of project applications.
- Participate in attracting investment for infrastructure, equipment or human resources.
- Participate in the dissemination of funding opportunities for R&D projects.
- Participate in the identification of potential partners in other research units and companies.
- Participate in CICS-UBI C&I management.
- Participate in the organization of congresses, seminars and workshops.
- Manage the website and social networks of CICS-UBI.
- Promote the visibility and interaction of the center and its researchers with society.
Work location: The work will be developed at the CICS-UBI – Health Sciences Research Centre, Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Beira Interior, Av. Infante D. Henrique 6200-506 Covilhã, under the scientific supervision of Doctor Cecilia Santos (csantos@fcsaude.ubi.pt)

. Declaration of honour from the candidate stating, that he/she meets the conditions for inscription on the third cycle of studies in the fields of knowledge described or in a non-degree course according to Articles 5, 6 and 7 of the RBIUBI, respectively.

Benefits
A monthly maintenance allowance will be granted in accordance with the Annex I of the RBIUBI, with the amount of 1104,64 € according to the updated values that can be consulted at https://www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores. The fellowship holder will have a personal accident insurance and can choose to be covered by the voluntary social insurance. These values will be added to the amount of monthly maintenance allowance.
Eligibility criteria
- Hold a MSc degree in scientific fields relevant to the functions that will be conducted, and meet the conditions to be enrolled in a cycle of studies leading to the PhD degree (or in a non-degree course).
- Present skills in the field of information management and information technologies in the context of life sciences research field.
- Proficiency in the English language.
- Proficiency in Office tools
- Sound knowledge in statistics
The proof of registration in the PhD degree/Non-degree course, is required for the fellowhip contractualization.
Selection process
Eligibility criteria:
The selection method will take place in two stages with the following characteristics:
First stage:
The CVs of eligible candidates will be evaluated and graded from 0 to 20 based on the appreciation of their academic, scientific, technical and professional (CF1) curriculum.
Second stage:
The second stage consists of an interview, which may be partially carried out in English, to assess experience in the technical-scientific area, autonomy, motivation, availability, and fluency in the English language. The Selection Committee will assign each candidate a grade between 0 and 20 points (CF2).
Final classification:
It will be calculated through the average between the classification of the 1st and 2nd stages (both with a weighting of 50%) – CF = 0.5xCF1 + 0.5xCF2 from 0 to 20 values, rounded to the nearest decimal.
The granting of a scholarship to the selected candidate will be conditioned to obtaining a final classification equal to or greater than 14 (fourteen) values.
