Selection scale

SECTION 1: Academic record Points 15

The academic record of the degree shall be assessed proportionally up to 10 points.

In the case of university degrees (Licenciaturas), Engineering of Bachelor’s degrees of 300 ECTS or more, the degree shall receive up to 10 points. In the case of degrees of less than 300 ECTS with a University Master’s degree, they shall receive up to 10 points, too, weighing them according to the relative credits ECTS percentage of the previous degree and Master’s degree.

The resulting score will be multiplied by a factor of 1.5 if the candidate's degree is in Agricultural Engineering, Technical Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural, Food and Rural Environment Engineering or similar, a Master's degree in the agriculture area by a factor of 0.75 if the degree is in a related field; and by a factor of 0.3 for other degrees.

SECTION 2: Professional experience in the area of the contract Points 18

Participation, through contracts or scholarships, in companies or research groups working in the field of woody crops and grapevines, where this has provided experience in aspects relating to field data collection, trial establishment and phenotyping, will be awarded 3 points per year.

Other contracts or scholarships with companies or research groups working in the field of woody crops and grapevines:  2 points per year.

Where the experience is in other sectors, 1 point per year will be awarded.

Periods shorter than one year will receive the proportional corresponding points.

SECTION 3: Research experience – other merits Points 12

Authorship of publications in the fields of fruit production and viticulture directly related to the subject matter of the contract will be awarded 2 points per article. Participation in conferences will be awarded 1 point per contribution.

Where publications or conference presentations relate to another area of crop production, 1 point per article and 0.5 points per conference contribution will be awarded.

SECTION 4: Personal interview Points 8

Only the candidates with at least 23 points adding up the previous sections will be interviewed. The goal of the interview is to value the knowledge and suitability of the candidates regarding the activities to be developed in the contract object of this call.

The minimum score required to pass the selection process will be 27 points.

The ties that occur in the final result of the selection process will be settled in favour of those who obtain the highest score in SECTION 3. With equal scores, by those who obtain the highest score in SECTION 2. Should the tie persist, the selection process

will be decided by drawing lots.
