Required qualifications and experience:

1. At least a doctoral degree in the discipline of Environmental Engineering, Mining and Power Engineering, chemistry or a related discipline.
2. Experience working as a research or research and teaching staff member at a university abroad;
3. Experience in scientific collaboration with recognized research institutions;
4. A publication record including at least one article authored or co-authored by the candidate in a journal ranked in the first quartile (Q1) by Journal Impact Factor in Journal Citation Reports (JCR), in at least one of the following research areas: Environmental Science & Engineering, Energy Science & Engineering, Water Resources, or Multidisciplinary Sciences;
5. Experience in energy management in the water and wastewater sector, particularly energy efficiency and energy management in water and wastewater utilities;
6. Knowledge of small-scale hydropower, the use of hydraulic energy in water supply systems, and the use of biogas from wastewater treatment plants for energy generation;
7. Experience with the security of power supply for water and wastewater infrastructure, including blackouts, distributed generation, and the energy self-sufficiency of critical infrastructure facilities;
8. Experience in managing projects;

9. Professional experience in water and wastewater utilities involving the delivery of water and wastewater management tasks will be an additional asset.

   Required languages: English or Polish (at excellent level).
