The competition is open to candidates intending to undertake research and teaching activities in the scientific disciplines of automation, electronics, electrical engineering, and space technologies, who meet the requirements specified in the Act of July 20, 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742, as amended) and the Statute of the Opole University of Technology. Candidates must have:

1) a doctoral degree in the discipline of automation, electronics, electrical engineering and space technologies; information and communication technology; or a related discipline corresponding to the teaching and research profile of the unit. 

2) knowledge and skills in:

• automation, robotics and control systems;
• electrical machines, power electronic drive systems, and methods of electric drive control, particularly drives employing reluctance machines;
• modelling, identification, and analysis of the dynamic properties of drive and mechatronic systems;
• programming in C/C++ and Python;
• programming of at least one family of microcontrollers and embedded systems design;
• modelling and simulation using MATLAB/Simulink;
• signal theory and digital signal processing, including time-domain, statistical, and spectral analysis;
• acquisition, processing, and analysis of measurement data;
• databases and SQL;
• methods for data preparation, processing, anonymisation, and protection;
• Linux operating systems, including command-line operation, configuration of basic services, and the use of Linux in engineering applications and embedded systems;
• use of laboratory and workshop measurement instruments employed in the design, commissioning, and servicing of electronic circuits and systems;
• ability to read and interpret technical documentation.

3) very good knowledge of Polish sufficient to prepare and conduct classes, and very good knowledge of English.
