Offer Description
It is hereby made public that an international documentary competition is open for a period of 30 (thirty) working days, starting from the working day immediately following the publication of this Opening Notice in the Diário da República, for the filling of I (one) job position, in the category of Assistant Researcher in the special career of scientific research, under a public service employment contract for an indefinite period, for the scientific area of Distance Education, with a focus on Artificial Intelligence
in Distance and Digital Education, at the Universidade Aberta (UAb).

Skills/Qualifications
The following may apply for the recruitment of assistant researcher: Holders of a Doctorate degree on the date of the deadline for submission of applications: In Educational Sciences, in Communication Sciences, or in a closely related area related to
the area for which the competition is open.
General requirements — those defined in Article 17 of the General Law on Public Service Employment (LTFP) approved by Law No. 35/2004, of June 20, as amended.
Special requirements — those defined in article 10 of the ECIC and in paragraph 1 of article 25 of Regulation No. 13297/2025 of the Universidade Aberta.
Specific Requirements
Holders of a Doctoral degree awarded by foreign higher education institutions must have their doctoral degree recognized, in accordance with Decree-Law No. 66/2018, of August 16, as
amended.
