The C2N (Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, https://www.c2n.universite-paris-saclay.fr/en/) is a joint research structure of Paris-Saclay University and CNRS. With a total staff of 346 persons, it includes 109 researchers and 72 engineers and technicians working in four scientific departments, one 18000 m² (nano-)technological platform, and three 'expertise' platforms. The Photonics department is the largest one with a total of 180 researchers and students. The C2N has 4 research departments (Photonics, Nonelectronics, Materials and Microsystems and Nanobiofluidics). The thesis work will take place in the Photonics department, within the CIMPHONIE group.
