Offer Description
Interdisciplinary project focused on tumor physiology and therapeutic response assessment using advanced imaging techniques. The project involves studies on in vivo models of pancreatic cancer, with special emphasis on oxygen mapping, image co-registration, and therapy optimization.
Scope of duties
According to the Work Regulations of the Jagiellonian University Annex 1 to the Work Regulations of the Jagiellonian University –
Model scopes of responsibilities and duties of academic teachers.
1st Multimodal imaging of pancreatic tumors (EPR, MRI, ultrasound, CT, PAI).
2nd Performing surgical procedures on mice (including tumor biopsies).
3rd Planning and administering anti-cancer therapies.
4th Characterization of tumor tissue microenvironment using physiological and molecular parameters.
5th Data analysis and integration with multimodal imaging.
Active participation in dissemination of results (publications, conferences).

The selection procedure is open for all individuals, who meet the requirements set out in Articles 113 and 116.2.3) of the Act of 20 July
2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science, and who meet the following eligibility criteria according to § 165 of the Statute of the Jagiellonian University:
• holding at least a doctoral degree;
• having relevant scientific achievements;
taking active part in scientific life.
PhD in biology, biophysics, biomedical engineering or related field (awarded within the last 7 years).
• Valid certification for working with laboratory animals in Poland (POLLASA or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience with in vivo animal models and survival surgery.
• Practical and theoretical knowledge of multimodal imaging (e.g. EPR, USG, MRI, PAI, CT).
• Experience with planning and conducting in vivo chemotherapy studies.
• Good organizational skills and ability to work in a collaborative research team.
• Proficiency in English sufficient for reading and interpreting scientific literaturę.
• Documented scientific achievements (e.g., peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations).
