Required Qualifications (ON/OFF criteria):

1. MSc in Environmental Biology or in a related field
2. PhD in Biology or in a related field
3. At least five (5) years of work experience related to the job description.
4. At least five (5) published papers in scientific journals related to the job description as first author.
5. Accreditation by a competent authority on the care and use of laboratory animals (FELASA). 

Additional Qualifications: 

• Additional (beyond the five (5) required) published papers in scientific journals related to the job description .
• Presentations at conferences

Project Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension according to the needs of the project and availability of funds

The salary is According to the salary conditions of Law 4354/2015 of the Greek State, Law 5045/2023 and Law 4386/2016

Interview: 1-8 points

Qualifications mentioned in the application or CV but not documented/proven will not be taken into account in the evaluation.

Please note that degrees, titles and qualifications awarded by foreign (non Greek) Higher Education Institutions, must be issued by a Higher Education Institution registered in the National Register of Recognized Foreign Higher Education Institutions (https://www.doatap.gr/anagnorish/ethniko-mitroo-anagnorismenon-idrymaton-anotatis-ekpaidefsis-tis-allodapis/) and the above-mentioned Title must be included in the National Register of Types of Titles of Recognized Foreign Institutions (https://www.doatap.gr/anagnorish/ethniko-mitroo-typon-titlon-spoudon-anagnorismenon-idrymaton/) , or recognized by DOATAP (Hellenic National Academic Recognition and Information Center), according to the provisions of Articles 304 and 306 of Law 4957/2022

Applications are evaluated by a 3-member committee (Evaluation Committee).

Candidates who do not meet the required qualifications of the Call are excluded.

Candidates who meet at least the required qualifications of the call will be invited to an interview (either in person or via teleconference), which will take place upon notification by the Evaluation Committee.

Candidates who fail to attend the interview will be rejected and will not be included in the evaluation procedure.

The selection will be based on maximum rating according to required / additional qualifications and interview

Candidates have the right to submit an objection to the results within five (5) calendar days from the date of their posting on the ELKE – UOC website and under the conditions of article 5 of Law 2690/1999, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council and Law 4624/2019. Candidates may replace, correct or/and complete any missing documents until the deadline for submission of applications.
