Title: Postdoctoral Research Fellowship (1 vacancy)

A call is now open for the award of 1 Postdoctoral Research Fellowship under the scope of the Digital Twins project (2025.00122.DT4ST, cc-0404020112), funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).
Scientific Area: 3D Acquisition of Cultural Heritage Assets

Doctorate degree in one of the following areas:
- Conservation and Restoration

Work Plan:
The selected fellow will be expected to perform the following tasks:
- Project management
- Historical research
- Content production
- Collaborate in defining procedures for 3D image acquisition using structured light of museum and heritage collections
- Participate in 3D acquisition using structured light
- Ensure processing of the captured objects, in accordance with the defined technical specifications

Place of work:
The work will take place at various locations outlined in the project, according to needs, under the scientific supervision of Professors Dr. Márcia Vilarigues and Dr. Nuno Correia.
The contracting entity is the Faculty of Science and Technology of NOVA University Lisbon, with the host institutions being the research units NOVA LINCS and VICARTE, and externally, Património Cultural, IP.
Fellowship duration:
The fellowship will last for 7 months, starting in 1 ofSeptember 2025. The fellowship contract may be renewed within the duration of the project.
Monthly maintenance allowance:
The scholarship amount is €1,851.00, based on the table of scholarship amounts awarded directly by FCT, I.P. in Portugal. Payments are made monthly via bank transfer.
Selection methods:
Candidates will be assessed on a scale from 0 to 20, based on the following weighted criteria:
- a) Curriculum evaluation (50%)
- b) Relevant prior knowledge for the execution of the project (25%)
- c) Interview
The fellowship may not be awarded if applications are not suitable.
The Faculty of Science and Technology of NOVA University Lisbon reserves the right not to proceed with hiring if there are no candidates with the appropriate profile.

Publication/Notification of Results:
The draft decision of the evaluation panel will be notified within 90 days after the application deadline via email, along with access to the minutes and provisional ranking list.
Candidates will have 10 working days to submit comments on the draft decision during the prior hearing phase, under the terms of the Administrative Procedure Code.
The final decision will be made after this period and notified again to all candidates by email.
Candidates may submit a complaint within 15 working days (to the email used for notification) or appeal within 30 working days, addressed to the Secretariat of the Department of Conservation and Restoration via dcr.secretariado@fct.unl.pt.
