There is hereby announced that, by order of the Rector of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, Professor João Sàágua, dated 02/12/2025, a recruitment procedure is open for the hiring of a Senior Technician for the funding of LISBOA2030-FEDER-01317200 - Hub de Inovação Pré-clínica-para-Clínica da NOVA Medical School (HubP2C) project, to be executed at NOVA Medical School | Faculty of Medical Sciences, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa under an Indefinite Individual Employment Contract, in accordance with the Labor Code and the Regulations of the leaders of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (Regulation no. 577/2017, of October 31, published in the Diário da República, 2nd Series, no. 210, of October 31), hereinafter referred to as the Regulation.

Workplace:
Research Hub of NOVA Medical School (NMS | FCM) of the NOVA University Lisbon (UNL), located at Rua Câmara Pestana, n.ºs 6, 6-A e 6-B, 1150-082 Lisbon, Portugal.
- Job Description:
The candidates will be involved in:
- Support the Cell Culture Facility of HUBP2C, particularly regarding 3D in vitro models;
- Provide technical support to researchers using or developing 3D in vitro models;
- Perform maintenance and technical support for equipment dedicated to the aforementioned area;
- Collaborate in training new users of the 3D in vitro Cell Culture Facility;
- Support the development, testing, and validation of advanced 3D in vitro models;
- Assist in the cultivation, maintenance, and differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs), including embryonic and induced stem cells;
- Assist in the preparation and creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
- Support service provision involving 3D in vitro models;
- Prepare activity reports for work in this area.

- Specific Requirements:
The candidates should hold a Master’s degree, preferably in the fields of Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or related disciplines.
Candidates must have:
- Experience in cell culture procedures and complex multicellular co-culture systems (e.g., spheroids and/or organoids);
- Experience working in a BSL2 laboratory environment;
Experience with pluripotent stem cells and/or the culture, differentiation, and/or reprogramming of iPSCs.

The selection will be based on Curriculum Evaluation (CE) and may be supplemented by a Professional Selection Interview (PSI), if deemed necessary by the Selection Committee.
The final classification will be expressed on a scale of 0 to 20 points and results from the following formula: Final Classification = (30% CE) + (70% PSI)
The evaluation parameters and the weighting of the selection methods are noted in the minutes of the selection committee meeting, available to candidates upon request.
