There is hereby announced that, by order of the Rector of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, Professor João Sàágua, dated 02/12/2025, a recruitment procedure is open for the hiring of a Senior Technician for the funding of the THCS/0002/2024 – WARD-EU project, to be executed at NOVA Medical School | Faculty of Medical Sciences, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa under an Indefinite Individual Employment Contract, in accordance with the Labor Code and the Regulations of the leaders of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (Regulation no. 577/2017, of October 31, published in the Diário da República, 2nd Series, no. 210, of October 31), hereinafter referred to as the Regulation.

The candidates will be involved in research assistance to support the start-up activities of the study, including the preparation of documentation, submission to ethics committees and regulatory authorities, applicable, and coordination with clinical, administrative, and project management teams; the operationalization of the clinical study, covering logistical coordination, monitoring of participant recruitment, protocol execution monitoring, data collection, and quality control, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ISO 14155 standards (applicable to clinical research with medical devices), national and international legislation, and procedures defined by the WARD-EU consortium (Wireless Assessment of Respiratory and Circulatory Distress – Europe). Furthermore, the candidate will collaborate with national and international multidisciplinary teams, fostering effective communication and alignment with the scientific and operational objectives of the project.

 

The candidates should have a master’s degree in in Health, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biopharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or related fields.

 

Candidates must have:

  • Proficiency in quality control principles;
  • Training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP);
  • Participation in research projects.

The selection will be based on Curriculum Evaluation (CE) and may be supplemented by a Professional Selection Interview (PSI), if deemed necessary by the Selection Committee.

 

The final classification will be expressed on a scale of 0 to 20 points and results from the following formula: Final Classification = (30% CE) + (70% PSI)

 

The evaluation parameters and the weighting of the selection methods are noted in the minutes of the selection committee meeting, available to candidates upon request.
