Offer Description

The work will take place in Portugal (Lisbon – CESEM/NOVA FCSH).

Work Plan: Testing and entering data into the “Cistercian Books and Libraries” digital platform.

The research fellowship’s duration is 5 months

The expected starting date is November 1, 2024.

Applications must be formalized, mandatorily, by sending an email, including identification and contact details, accompanied by the following documents: (1) Curriculum Vitae, (2) Academic Transcript and proof of enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree Program in Musical Sciences or in a non-degree course in Musical Sciences (3) Declaration under oath stating that, with the signing of the scholarship contract in question, the candidate does not exceed an accumulated period of one year in this type of scholarship, consecutive or interpolated, and has not already been a beneficiary of any other research scholarship directly or indirectly funded by FCT and other relevant supporting documents, (4) Letter of Motivation, and optionally, (5) Other documents that the candidate considers relevant.

In the case of academic degrees obtained from foreign higher education institutions, the presentation of the recognition of the degrees obtained is required, in accordance with DL No. 66/2018, of August 16; or, in the absence of recognition at the time of application, a declaration under oath that the recognition will be made before the contracting of the Scholarship in case the candidate is selected. 

However, the presentation of the recognition is mandatory by the time of scholarship contracting.

Benefits

Monthly research fellowship corresponds to € 601,12€, according to the table of scholarships awarded directly by FCT, I.P. in Portugal.

When chosen by the candidate, a first category voluntary social insurance may be added to this amount, together with a personal accident insurance.

Eligibility criteria

To be enrolled in a Bachelor's  or in a Master’s degree program in Musical Sciences or in a non-degree course in Musical Sciences.

Selection process

The selection methods to be used will be as follows: a) a one or two-page letter of motivation (explicitly stating an idea or preliminary research hypothesis [40%]); b) curriculum evaluation [60%], based on admission requirements, mandatory and preferred, with a scoring from 0 to 10.

Candidates admitted to the competition will be duly notified by email.
