The EURAXESS Portugal portal was developed in order to meet the legal requirements for acessibility, fostering digital inclusion for all citizens and universal access to the available content.

All the web pages use web standards specified by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) — namely, CSS and XHTML 1.0 — and are in conformity with acessibility guidelines level A for web content (WCAG) as defined under the Web Accessibility Initiative adopted by the Programa Acesso of the Agência para a Sociedade do Conhecimento (UMIC).

The evalution of the accessbility criteria was essentilly made using automatic verification tools and some human validation. The Euraxess web site should work on any modern browser (which excludes Internet Explorer 6).
